Group Case Consultations on Clinical Themes
with Brad Kammer, Stefanie Klein, and Marcia Black
Often in Group Case Consultations, challenging clinical themes emerge for therapists. Complex clinical dynamics often create misattunement, conflict, and strong countertransference reactions like feeling stuck and failing with clients. While these themes present differently with each individual client, there are common patterns that once we identify, therapists can use to inform more effective therapy with our most challenging cases.
In these group case consults on specialized clinical themes, the topic will be identified in advance. Participants will have an opportunity to present a case, ask questions, share reflections, or simply listen as we explore that clinical theme in greater depth. The Group Case Consult provider will invite reflection and facilitate exploration on how to apply NARM® with these complex cases.
These Group Consults on Clinical Themes are open to all members of our professional community as well as the general public. We invite mental health professionals who may use other modalities to join these groups as observers. We also encourage community members to invite colleagues who may be interested in how these clinical themes relate to NARM.

In order to receive a refund or transfer to another upcoming consult, you must contact admin@complextraumatrainingcenter.com at least five days before the consult takes place.
Each participant will have approximately 15-30 minutes for presenting their case, questions and discussion. Please note: some may go longer or shorter depending on the teaching needs.
The process of sharing a Client/Case will follow this flow:
1. Briefly share some background information on your client/case to give us context (please use only 1-2 minutes) Due to time constraints, we will stop you if you take much longer than 1-2 min. Once we begin discussing the client/case, there will be an opportunity to add more background information.
2. What is this client(s) wanting out of the work with you (“contract”)?
3. Briefly share with us what you’ve been doing thus far with this client - how this has worked, and where do you feel stuck?
4. We ask that you formulate what specific questions or support you’d like with this case – in other words, how can I help you with this client/case?
When you are not presenting, you are welcome to type in any questions or comments you may have into the chat. If you would like to speak directly to the provider and the presenting participant, you may type into the chat box “[Your name] would like to speak.” We can’t guarantee we will have time to get into discussion, but we will do our best to have you all interact as much as possible.
Full participation is required in order to receive credit for this Public Group Consultation. If you meet this requirement, a verification email will be sent to you. Please retain a copy of the verification email to submit with your completed log. These Public Group Consultations apply to the requirements of the NARM Therapist and NARM Master Therapist Certificate.
